If you are in the mood for a relaxed afternoon or a full weekend of exploring the city, there is something for every age and interest.

Friday 31 July: Music, Art and Live Radio on Chorzów Market Square

Chorzów's Market Square becomes the centre of attention on Friday evening as the latest edition of Galerie Wolności combines visual arts, live music and radio broadcasting in the heart of the city.

The evening begins at 6.00 pm in Pavilion A with a concert by band Szklane Oczy, before the spotlight moves to the Market Square where Radio 357 broadcasts its popular Lista Piosenek (Song List) programme live from Chorzów. Hosted by Marcin Łukawski, the special outside broadcast gives visitors the chance to experience the atmosphere of a live radio show while enjoying music alongside fellow listeners.

The evening also includes the opening of the exhibition "At High Noon", adding a contemporary artistic element to the event and continuing the city's Galerie Wolności series.

One of the highlights is the 25th final of the Our Culinary Heritage – Flavours of the Regions competition, where the best traditional food product and signature regional dish from the Silesian Voivodeship will be selected.

Families will also find plenty to enjoy, with hands-on workshops including traditional flatbread baking, grain art and the creation of lavender-infused salt and sugar. Throughout the day, talks exploring the history and traditions of regional cuisine will offer additional insight into Silesia's rich culinary heritage, while live folk music creates a welcoming festival atmosphere.
